REIGNING WITH CHRIST

Psalm 146:10 The LORD shall reign forever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.

The above-referenced bible passage tells us the Lord shall reign forever. Beloved, that’s great news because it means that you and I shall also reign forever. The word “reign” was taken from “sovereign” which means “supreme ruler or Lord”. An earthly president has a four year term with a maximum term of eight years and can even be impeached if the need arises. God’s kingdom cannot be impeached. EVIL MAY HAVE BEEN RULING OVER YOU BUT BECAUSE YOU HAVE ENTERED INTO A NEW ERA YOU WILL BEGIN TO RULE!!! YOU MAY HAVE BEEN A TENANT BUT BECAUSE YOU ARE IN A NEW ERA YOU WILLL BECOME A LANDLORD! God’s desire and plan is for you and I to rule and reign.

Genesis 1:26-28 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE BEGIN TO REIGN WITH CHRIST?

Deuteronomy 15:6 For the LORD thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.

GOD WILL TAKE YOU TO THE TOP: Top means the highest position, the uppermost place. Exodus 19:20 And the LORD came down upon mount Sinai, on the top of the mount: and the LORD called Moses up to the top of the mount; and Moses went up. Beloved, because Moses had begun to reign with Christ his level had to change. THE CALL FROM HEAVEN THAT WILL TAKE YOU TO THE TOP WILL COME YOUR WAY!!!

GOD WILL MAKE YOU THE TOPIC: I remember one day when I was in high school that my Biology teacher decided that we would learn about cockroaches! Beloved, I wondered how learning about cockroaches would be of benefit to me but in spite of how I felt I had no choice but to listen to this lector for an entire hour! You may have been a nonentity but GOD WILL MAKE YOU A TOPIC!!! Whether people like it or not they will have no choice but to pay homage to you. In Daniel 1, Daniel was a strange boy in a strange land but by Daniel 6 he had become a topic! YOU WILL BE SINGLED OUT AND BECOME THE TOPIC!!! Beloved, be ready because once you become a topic those around you will begin to plot against you. Once Daniel became a topic people began to plot a coup against him which landed him in the lion’s den. But beloved, God shut the mouths of the lions because he says “touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm”. The lions were angry because they could not eat Daniel. Beloved, even if you find yourself in the lion’s den, they will not touch you because the Lion of the tribe of Judah will shut their mouths!!! ALL THOSE PLOTTING YOUR DOWNFALL WILL BE SUBSTITUTED IN YOUR PLACE LIKE IT HAPPENED FOR DANIEL!

GOD WILL MAKE YOU A TOPICALITY: This means a celebrity. You may have come into this world a nonentity but before you leave this world you’ll become a celebrity!

GOD WILL TOPICALIZE YOU: This means He will immortalize you. David was a nobody even in his own family. His father did not reckon with him as one of the sons. Bible scholars claim that David must have been a product of a one-night-stand that resulted in pregnancy. How else can one explain a father sentencing his last born to a hot sunny forest to deal with dangerous lions and bears while the other sons were at home watching cable tv? Beloved, in spite of this David became immortalized by God. In 2 Samuel 5:4-10 we can see that at the age of thirty David began to reign over TWO nations! In Mark 10:46-52, Bartimaeus address Jesus as “thou son of DAVID” (and not “thou son of Joseph”). This is because God had decided to topicalize David. GOD WILL SINGLE YOU OUT TO TOPICALIZE YOU!

CONDITION TO REIGNING WITH CHRIST

2 Timothy 2:11-12 It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.

CONSEQUENCES FOR NOT KEEPING THIS CONDITION

Leviticus 26:13-17 I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bands of your yoke, and made you go upright. But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments; And if ye shall despise my statutes, or if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but that ye break my covenant: I also will do this unto you; I will even appoint over you terror, consumption, and the burning ague, that shall consume the eyes, and cause sorrow of heart: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be slain before your enemies: they that hate you shall reign over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
THAT WILL NOT BE YOUR PORTION IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME!

Beloved, at the top there is no room for a multitude but for just a select few. RCCG is a church that is reigning with Christ and so is our General Overseer. Beloved, anointing flows from the top. We will also reign with Christ. I’ll see you at the top. Let us pray…

PRAYER

Father, I am tired of the valley! Take me to the top financially, economically, in my business, career, etc
